Fedor Smolov scored the only goal of the game as he turned in Anton Miranchuk’s smart pass from close range. He also hit the post after a fine individual effort, while Kristijan Bistrovic left the hosts’ task even harder by getting a second yellow card just before the hour mark.

Lokomotiv close the gap to their city rivals CSKA to just one point as they jump up to sixth in the table, while CSKA remain fourth.
