The coaching staff of the Russian national team have announced the names of the players called up to prepare for the friendly match with Sweden, and the UEFA Nations League matches against Turkey and Hungary.

Defenders: Georgy Dzhikia (Spartak), Vyacheslav Karavaev (Zenit), Fedor Kudryashov (Antalyaspor), Ilya Kutepov (Spartak), Sergey Petrov (Krasnodar), Alexander Zhirov (Sandhausen), Andrey Semenov (Akhmat), Mario Fernandes (CSKA).
Midfielders: Zelimkhan Bakaev (Spartak), Roman Zobnin (Spartak), Yury Gazinsky (Krasnodar), Denis Cheryshev (Valencia), Anton Miranchuk (Lokomotiv), Yuri Zhirkov (Zenit), Andrey Mostovoy (Zenit), Magomed Ozdoev (Zenit), Alexey Ionov (Rostov), Daniil Fomin (Dynamo), Daler Kuzyaev (unattached).
Forwards: Artem Dzyuba (Zenit), Aleksandr Sobolev (Spartak), Fedor Smolov (Lokomotiv).
In October, Russia will play three matches in Moscow: against Sweden (8 October), Turkey (11 October) and Hungary (14 October). All games will be held without spectators.
In the 2020/21 UEFA Nations League, Russia are playing in the League B, Group 3 alongside Serbia, Hungary and Turkey. At the end of the round robin stage, the winners of the four groups will be promoted to League A, and the last-placed teams will be relegated to League C.
