SKA Khabarovsk beat Rubin Kazan 1-0 on the final matchday of the Russian Cup elite round group stage.

Ramazan Khadzhimuradov scored the only goal in the 76th minute. From the 80th minute, hosts played with 10 players after Grigory Trufanov was removed.

SKA top Group 9 with six points and go through to the last 16. Rubin finish second with three points and have been knocked out of the tournament.

Fourteen RPL teams will play in the Russian Cup last 16. Zenit St. Petersburg, Lokomotiv Moscow, FC Krasnodar, CSKA Moscow, FC Rostov and Dynamo Moscow automatically qualified for the knockout stages as participants in 2020/21 European competitions. Ural Ekaterinburg, Spartak Moscow, Arsenal Tula, FC Ufa, FC Khimki, Akhmat Grozny, FC Sochi and FC Tambov made it through as elite round group winners.

SKA Khabarovsk advance to the knockouts alongside fellow FNL side Krylia Sovetov Samara.

According to the rules of the tournament, the draw for the last 16 will take place within seven days of the end of the elite round. The first knockout matches will be held in February 2021.
