Ex-Loko Caicedo leaves Zenit with just a point in the Champions League

Zenit were close to the first win in the group, but earned just a point from a home game against Serie A side. Aleksandr Erokhin scored again making his first ever goal in the Champions League group stage. He finished a combination with one-touch passes from Daler Kuzyaev and Artem Dzyuba. This is also the fifth goal for the midfielder in the last seven matches in all competitions.

There were eight minutes before the end of the main time, when Felipe Caicedo, who came from the bench on the 59th minute, scored an equalizer. The Ecuador striker played in the RPL from 2011 to 2013, making 11 goals in 52 league appearances for Lokomotiv Moscow.

Zenit remain bottom on one point, while Lazio are top on five points.
