Krasnodar thrashed Lokomotiv in a real statement to the RPL as a late three-goal burst put an emphatic sheen on a dominant display. Viktor Claesson and Remy Cabella set the tone by capitalising on defensive errors inside the opening 11 minutes, before Marcus Berg scored twice from close range either side of Magomed-Shapi Suleymanov’s strike in the final 15 minutes. Anton Miranchuk had missed a penalty on the stroke of half time as Evgeny Gorodov held his spot kick. The 5-0 scoreline was Lokomotiv’s biggest losing margin in Russian championships.

Krasnodar move up to eighth on 28 points, one point behind Lokomotiv who stay seventh.
