On 4 February, at an Extraordinary Conference of the Russian Football Union in Moscow, the election of the organization’s president took place.
The current president of the RFU, Aleksandr Dyukov, was re-elected for a new four-year term. Dyukov was the only candidate for the post, and all the delegates of the Conference voted for him. Russian Premier Liga clubs supported the nomination of Dyukov for the presidential election at the General Meeting on 22 December.
Dyukov was first elected to the post of RFU president at an Extraordinary Conference on 22 February 2019.
