On 4 February, at an Extraordinary Conference of the Russian Football Union in Moscow, the election of a new composition of the organisation's Executive Committee took place.

According to the unified list of candidates, the following were elected to the RFU Executive Committee:

The chairman of the RFU Refereeing Committee, Ashot Khachaturyants, and the Chairman of the RFU Marketing Committee, Denis Solovev, were also admitted to the Executive Committee under special quotas. The new composition was elected by the delegates of the Conference unanimously.

The candidacies of Sergey Galitsky, Yury Solovev and Rustem Saimanov as representatives of RPL clubs in the Executive Committee were supported at the RPL General Meeting on 22 December. Leonid Fedun and Evgeny Giner were nominated to the Executive Committee by the president of the RFU.

The RFU Executive Board was elected for a four-year term.
