CSKA coasted into the quarter-finals of the Russian Cup against 10-man SKA-Khabarovsk thanks to goals from Ilzat Akhmetov and Nikola Vlasic. The second-tier visitors had a man sent off shortly after half-time with the score still at 1-0, leaving Krylia Sovetov Samara as the only side left in the competition from outside the RPL.
