Djordje Despotovic put Rubin charge early on in the battle for Europe, scoring his first goal in five games after quarter of an hour. Although Dynamo were handed half a lifeline soon after the break when Ilya Samoshnikov was sent off, the 10 men doubled their advantage through In-beom Hwang with 10 minutes remaining. 

Rubin stay fourth on 49 points, while Dynamo remain seventh on 46 points.
