Fedor Chalov’s first-half winner helped CSKA recover from defeat in their first tow RPL matches to post consecutive wins and return to the top half.

Jaka Bijol put them in front early on before Chalov struck to double the advantage. Daniil Glebov threaded an effort through a body of players to elude Igor Akinfeev soon after the break, but Konstantin Maradishvili slid home a careful finish to deal the win in the final minute.

Rostov stay 14th on one point, while CSKA edge up to eighth on six points.
