A goal in each half set Dynamo on the way back to second in the table. Top scorer Daniil Fomin stooped to glance a fine header past Yuri Dyupin just after the half-hour mark. 

After half time, Vyacheslav Grulev rose to turn another header inside the far post from Dmitry Skopintsev's sweeping cross. 

With minutes remaining, Filip Utemovic thought he'd pulled one back, but his header was ruled out for a foul. 

Dynamo go back up to second on 19 points, while Rubin stay fifth on 14 points.
