Khimki 0-0 Ural Ekaterinburg
Sunday 31 October, Arena Khimki
Man of the Match: Reziuan Mirzov (Khimki)
An intriguing first-half battle remained goalless, but produced plenty of openings at both ends - although the best chance by far fell to Aleksandr Filin just eight yards out with the goal at his mercy, only for him to sky his stretched effort well over the bar.
Teenage midfielder Luka Gagnidze impressed in midfield on his first start after joining on loan from Dynamo Moscow, clearing up much of the danger posed by the hosts and forcing a scrambled save from Ilya Lantratov late on.
Kirill Kolesnichenko had had a golden chance to steal the lead with 10 minutes left after Lantratov spilled an awkwardly bouncing Eric Bicfalvi shot, but his side foot effort skied over the bar from eight yards out.
Khimki stay 15th on 12 points, while Ural remain bottom on 10 points.
