On Thursday 27 January, two RPL players represented their national teams in 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Asia, Round 3

Group A

Lebanon 0-1 South Korea

Rubin midfielder Hwang In-beom played the entire match against Lebanon. After seven games, South Korea are second in Group A, two points behind Iran. On 1 February, they will play Syria.

South America

Paraguay 0-1 Uruguay

Krasnodar newcomer Junior Alonso played the full 90 minutes against Uruguay and was shown a yellow card in the 86th minute. Dynamo defender Fabian Balbuena was not included in the matchday squad due his yellow-card suspension. Paraguay have played 15 matches in the qualifiers and picked up 13 points, leaving them in ninth place. In their next game, Paraguay will face Brazil on 2 February.
