Rostov, Spartak and Dynamo played friendly matches on 28 January.
Rostov 1-2 Stuttgart
Rostov suffered the second defeat in a row at their camp in Marbella. Although the Southerners opened the scoring in the 18th minute thanks to a goal by Danil Glebov, the German Bundesliga side emerged victorious right at the end of the second half. Alexis Tibidi scored in the 87th minute, before Philippe Forster’s winner from the penalty spot in the last minute. Previously, Rostov lost 2-0 to Sparta Prague in Spain.
Spartak 2-2 Slovan Bratislava
The Red-Whites played their first friendly match of the winter break later than the other RPL teams. Against Slovan, the leaders of the Slovak championship, Spartak led 2-0 after goals by Daniil Denisov in the 20th minute and Zelimkhan Bakayev in the 40th. In the second half, the Slovak team pulled level through Vladimir Weiss in the 60th minute, and Aleksandar Chavrich in the 87th. Paolo Vanoli's team will resume training in the UAE on 1 February, and will meet Riga on 2 February.
Dynamo 1-3 CSKA Sofia
The Blue-Whites have been training in Turkey since 25 January, and their first friendly opponents were CSKA Sofia, the 31-time champions of Bulgaria. CSKA scored two unanswered goals in the first half, before Dynamo responded with a goal by Ivan Ordets in the 61st minute, but conceded a third goal at the end of the match. Their next opponents at the training camp are FNL side Enisey Krasnoyarsk, which will take place on 31 January.
