RPL winter training camps: Spertsyan helps Krasnodar beat Valerenga, four teams make draws

On 30 January, five RPL teams played in friendly matches in preparation for the second part of the season.

Nizhny Novgorod 1-1 Decic

Nizhny Novgorod faced the Montenegrin First League’s second-placed team in the third friendly game at their training camp. In the 25th minute, Timur Suleymanov put Nizhny Novgorod ahead, but Decic equalized six minutes later. Aleksandr Kerzhakov's team have completed the first training camp in Turkey, the second one will be held there from 3 to 17 February.

Ural 2-2 Rodina

Ural drew their second friendly match in a row, having previously been held to a 1-1 draw with Pyunik on 26 January. Against FNL-2 side Rodina, Andrey Egorychev and Oleg Shatov scored for Ural in the fifth and 20th minutes, respectively. For Ekaterinburg, this match was the last at their first training camp in the UAE. The team is scheduled to meet Spartak on the second one on 8 February.

Krylia Sovetov 0-0 Pandev Academy

Krylia opened their second Turkish training camp with a meeting against the Pandev Academy, who are second in the Northern Macedonia championship. The match finished goalless. Striker Ivan Ignatiev, who belongs to Rubin, played the first half for Krylia. On 6 February, Igor Osinkin's team will meet an RPL rival in Turkey in Nizhny Novgorod.

Arsenal 1-1 Novi Pazar

Arsenal Tula had planned two friendly matches for 30 January, but the game against Akron Togliatti did not take place due to a lack of players. The match against Novi Pazar - 14th in the Serbian Superliga - started for Arsenal with a conceded penalty in the sixth minute, but Kirill Panchenko equalized in the 60th minute. At the end of each half, Miodrag Bozovic's team were shown a red card as Kings Kangwa and Georgi Kostadinov received their marching orders. Arsenal will play their next matches in Turkey on 5 February against Danish Esbjerg and Bosnian outfit Borac.

Krasnodar 1-0 Valerenga

In the first game at their Spanish training camp, Krasnodar defeated Norwegian side Valerenga. The decisive goal in the 43rd minute was scored by Eduard Spertsyan. On 6 February, Krasnodar have scheduled a friendly match against the Swedish side Hakken.
