Seven years pasted since last meeting of Torpedo and Lokomotiv in RPL and 16 years pasted since this rivalry took place at old Luzhniki Stadium. Lokomotiv still search for new manager after firing Josef Zinnbauer, and Andrey Fedorov, former coach for Kazanka, took the duties in this game.

After 12 games in a row Daniil Khudyakov, who is well known to Fedorov, was replaced in the net, and Guilherme made first appearance in RPL. Guilherme’s clean sheet became just second for Lokomotiv this season.
