Quincy Promes reaches 100 goals for Spartak, becomes third foreigner with hundred goals for Russian clubs

Spartak Moscow midfielder Quincy Promes passed the mark of 100 goals for the club after getting the brace in RPL Matchday 19 fixture against Fakel Voronezh.

31-year-old scored twice in the first half, on 18th and 42nd minute. The Red-Whites got 2-0 lead, then conceded twice, but ended victorious with 3-2 score. Promes was awarded as Man of the Match, he also came back on top of scorers’ race with 16 goals.

First Quincy goal against Fakel was 100 for the player in Spartak shirt. He became the first foreign player to achieve this result in the club’s history. Promes is seventh in all-time scorers list with 101 goals after 204 matches.

Among other foreigners only Vagner Love and Sardar Azmoun reached 100 goals for Russian clubs. Vagner Love scored all 124 goals for CSKA Moscow, while Azmoun has 104 goals after playing for Rubin Kazan, FC Rostov, and Zenit St. Petersburg. Among active players from abroad Christian Noboa is close to one-hundred mark having 89 goals for Rubin, Dynamo, Rostov, Zenit and Sochi, his current club.

Promes has been playing for Spartak second time, he came back from Ajax in 2021, previously he was Red-White since 2014 to 2018. Player won all Russian tournaments including RPL in 2016/17 season, Super Cup in 2017 and Russian Cup in 2021/22 season.
