Man of the Match: Claudinho (Zenit)

Match between second and first team of the league had big expectations on the paper, but both sides could not produce any goals this night, first time in their meetings since March 2018. Curiously, Rostov without such leaders as Dmitry Poloz, Daniil Utkin had more shots on target than Zenit, four against one. First half was marked with big activity from Vyacheslav Karavaev, who got three attempts, and one of them ended hitting the bar. Maksim Osipenko, one of the most scoring defenders in the league, has also a chance in the attack, but could not get the rebound, when ball hit him after Mikhail Kerzhakov save the free kick.

Zenit remain top with 54 points keeping nine-point gap above Rostov, who still second.
