RPL presenter returned at home with three-goal advantage, and after 25 minutes of first half their opponents from lower league came close to comeback. Ivan Timoshenko could not beat Artur Nigmatullin from penalty spot, but succeeded on the rebound, and then Amur Kalmykov scored header after corner kick. Rodina striker scored second time in relegation play-off, in 2018 his goal was not enough for Anzhi to overcome Enisey. Five years later things stood the same, Dmitry Parfenov’s Rodina could not capitalize the remaining 65 minutes into more goals and possible extra time. Sergey Yuran survived play-offs in second straight season, last year he saved RPL spot with Khimki.

Pari NN won 3-2 on aggregate and stayed in RPL.
