Before departure for the first Austrian training camp our Romanian player in Kuban Gheorghe Bucur extended his contract with FC Kuban for one more season. Travel to Vienna, bus trip to Bad-Erlach, and then training session at the local sport complex, made the first day of the team staying in Austria quite complicated. In the comfortable lobby of the  hotel we have found the possibility to have small talk with the player, whose popularity among the supporters is difficult to bring into some limits, as the website of the club informs.

- Gheorghe, how did you accept the prolongation of your contract with the club?

- I was always quite honest, if I can say so, in fulfilling my football responsibilities and putting on the T-shirt of Kuban, tried to do all my best in order the yellow-and-green team could win. I am happy that the club administration evaluated my contribution and believes in my capability to be useful for the team. It was with inspiration that I accepted the proposal about contract prolongation. I understand, that this is special responsibility related to the club and to the supporters whose support is always very special and important for me.

- You have two growing sons. What was the reaction of your family regarding your decision?

- Unconditionally. Krasnodar became home for us. Together with Kuban I went from the 1^st division to the UEFA Europa League matches, and those pictures of my football biography are the most bright ones. My family was always close to me, they supported me in difficult moments and were happy for me when the team was winning. That was not the case when you have to persuade someone in taking decision.

- What are your impressions from the location of the training camp and the first training session?

- Excellent. Perfect pitch, wonderful hotel, nice weather. All conditions for the preparation of good quality.  There is a good reason that the club administration had planned all summer training camps in Austria.

- Referring to the complicated training routine, do you have enough time to follow 2014 FIFA World Cup matches? Do you have any forecasts for the championship?

- I do not think that other continent will keep the leading European teams from getting to the final. I like the teams of Germany and Holland. I will wish success to them.

- And if we return to our Championship, what are you waiting from the coming season? What do you think Kuban is capable of, in general?

- I think that the plans, which we have drawn for ourselves, are quite real, and the task worked out by the club administration is quite reachable. Our main purpose is to be among European cup teams in the tournament table. Of course, it will require a lot of our efforts, so it is very important to have the Austrian training camps with all the responsibility and self-devotion. There are new clubs in the Premier League, which we have never played before, and the usual leaders will not be weaker. In any case, the season promises to be extremely interesting.
