On 30 June the contracts of the two midfields of the blue-and-white-and-light-blue team - Roman Shirokov and Konstantin Zyryanov – expire. Both players leave the club as free agents, as the website of the club informs.

Roman Shirokov joined blue-and-white-and-light-blue team in 2008 and for 6 years twice became the Champion of Russia, he won in the Cup of Russia matches and Super Cup, as well as he was selected as the best player of the season several times in different editions. In total he played 201 match, scored 43 goals and made 26 assists.

Konstantin Zyryanov spent seven years in Zenit and played 286 matches, where he scored 39 goals and made 60 assists. He three times won in the Russian Championship, won Cup and Super Cup of Russia, UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup.
