Yuri Semin has resigned from his role as Rostov head coach, the club have confirmed. The veteran coach mutually agreed to terminate his contract with club president Artashes Arutyunyants.

Semin was appointed at the start of August, taking charge of seven matches in total - six in the Russian Premier Liga - and winning just once. His last match in charge was the Russian Cup defeat at home to Chayka.

Rostov was Semin's fifth RPL club as head coach, after spells at Dynamo Moscow, Anzhi Makhachkala, Mordovia Saransk and most notably Lokomotiv Moscow.
