The legendary Armyman has returned to the club and joined the coaching staff, where he will work underneath his brother Alexey.

Previously, Vasily represented CSKA from 2002 to 2018 as a player and won six Russian championships, seven Russian Cups, five Russian Super Cups and the UEFA Cup.

In 2020, he returned to the club as Deputy Sporting Director, and subsequently joined the coaching staff of Viktor Goncharenko. In April 2021, he left CSKA to work alongside the Belarussian as his assistant at Krasnodar.
