Zenit St. Petersburg have completed the signing of Krylia Sovetov Samara striker Ivan Sergeev. His contract will run until the end of the 2024/25 season.

Sergeev began his career in the PFL in 2014 at Strogino Moscow, joining Riga on loan two years later. He made the step up to the FNL with Tambov for the 2018/19 season before moving swiftly to Torpedo Moscow where he scored 35 goals in 61 games. 

In August 2020, Sergeev joined Krylia Sovetov, where he plundered a record-breaking 40 goals in 39 FNL matches as he led his new side to the title. This season he has scored six RPL goals.

In November 2021, he was called up to the Russian national team and was included in the squad for the matches against Cyprus and Croatia.
