Four more players join Khimki

FC Khimki officially signed four players, making total number of winter newcomers to ten.

23-year-old defender Lev Skvortsov signed contract for the rest of 2022/23 season. Player spent the whole career in Kazakhstan representing Astana, Atirau, and Turan. Last year Skvortsov played 24 matches in Kazakhstan Premier League for Turan.

18-year-old defender Stefan Melentijevic joined Khimki from Rad Belgrad, his contract is three-and-half-year. Crvena Zvezda graduate had been playing for Rad since summer 2022 and scored one goal in 15 matches of Serbian First League.

25-year-old midfielder Lachezar Kotev signed two-and-half-year contract. Native Bulgarian played in his motherland for Septemvri, Vitosha, Oborishte, and Arda. During this season Kotev made three goals and three assists in 17 matches of Bulgaria First League.

27-year-old midfielder Janio Bikel moved to Khimki after leaving Vancouver Whitecaps. He started as pro in Netherlands playing for Heerenveen and NEC Nijmegen, since 2018 till 2020 had been competing in Bulgaria as CSKA Sofia player, then signed with Vancouver. In the first half of 2022 Bikel was loaned to Italian Vicenza, after returning to MLS never played for Whitecaps. Midfielder represented Portugal at youth level, in March 2022 he made debut in Guinea-Bissau national team.
