During international break in RPL Zenit made a trip to Istanbul to take part in friendly match against Fenerbahce. The proceeds from the match will be used to help victims of the earthquake that occurred in Turkey in February.

Zenit got in trouble in the opening minutes, Mert Hakan Yandas broke into the penalty area and opened the score. Malcom helped to strike back converting the penalty earned by Gustavo Mantuan. Fenerbahce penalty take was not successful, as Joao Pedro hit the crossbar, and Zenit finished the first half as leaders through wonderful shot to the right corner from Claudinho. In the second half RPL leaders could not keep the winning score, Daniil Odoevsky was beaten by long shot from young Bora Aydinlik.

Zenit will resume RPL season on Saturday 1 April, they will host Ural at Gazprom Arena.
