Zenit St. Petersburg and Lokomotiv Moscow officially reached agreement on Maksim Glushenkov transfer.

24-year-old attacking midfielder joined Zenit on four-year contract with one-year extension option. Glushenkov left Lokomotiv after one-and-half seasons, where he scored 11 goals in 42 RPL matches. Player is 2023/24 top assistant in the league with 16 assists (tied Dmitry Loskov and Hulk record).

Before Lokomotiv Glushenkov also played for FC Chertanovo, Spartak Moscow, Krylia Sovetov and FC Khimki. Totally midfielder has 28 goals in RPL after 113 appearances. For the national team Glushenkov played in two friendly matches against Kyrgyzstan and Qatar.

Glushenkov is second newcomer for Zenit; firstly, as RPL champions agreed move of goalkeeper Evgeny Latyshonok from Baltika. Lokomotiv previously parted ways with Artem Dzyuba, Riat Zhemaletdinov and Stanislav Magkeev after expiration of contracts, also loaned Mikhail Schetinin and Nikolay Titkov to Fakel and Baltika respectively.
