On 20 April two Cup of Russia semifinals took place for the season 2015-2016:

Amkar – Zenit – 1:1 (extra time – 0:0, penalty shoots-out – 3:4)

The match took place at Zvezda Stadium and ended fulltime in a draw: goal by Idowu was evened by a well-placed shot by Garcia. During extra time the teams were not able to fix the result. In the after-match penalty shoot-outs Zenit players happened to be better - 3:4.
 

PFC CSKA – Krasnodar – 3:1

PFC CSKA and Krasnodar played at Arena Khimki. The home team scored twice to the visiting team in the first half. Both goals by Golovin. After the halftime Dzagoev fixed the success of the Army team. Krasnodar managed to reply only with a well-placed shot by Sigurðsson.

The final Cup of Russia match between FC Zenit and PFC CSKA will be held on 2 May at 16:00 at Kazan Arena Stadium.
