ROSGOSSTRAKH Russian Football Championship MD 14 matches will be held on 18-21 November. Only four matchdays are left before the winter break, and then a long interval is waiting for the teams. So the clubs will try to correct their mistakes and to reinforce their squads.

First of all, the multimillion army of those who love sport number one follows the competition of the two leaders – Spartak and Zenit. Which of them will leave for the winter break as a leader? Many specialists have already given their opinion, but the time will settle everything.

Spartak is hosting Amkar in MD 14. The serious problem for the team of Massimo Carrera can be the absence of one of the leaders – forward Ze Luis, who can hardly be appropriately replaced. The African player is out of the squad till the end of the calendar year and the coaching staff will have to find a decent substitution for him. One of the main revelations of the season – Amkar – is also having problems with its squad. Gadzhi Gadzhiev remained without two players of central zone – Gol and Ogude. The club from Perm showed in the current season that they do not intend to give up without fight and so far they have had only one failure – in an away match against Zenit.

As for the team of Mircea Lucescu, it will be hosting Krylia Sovetov from Samara. Zenit has some problems with the squad, but the quality of it will allow to replace easily the players of the main squad. Samara team has much more problem. So far it occupies the bottom line in the tournament table and shows evidently not the result which is expected by its supporters. Probably the change of the coach will do good to Krylia Sovetov, but in the game against Zenit it will be difficult for them to gain at least one point.

The MD programme will be kicked-off with the match between Arsenal and PFC CSKA. The team of Leonid Slutskiy needs winning – the gap between them and the leaders is getting bigger and bigger, and Terek Grozny is already ahead of the Army team. Leonid Slutskiy has quite enough problems with the squad, but if the team wants to compete for the title, they have to win in any case.

Arsenal also needs gained points. The team from Tula has enough problems with the game, but in order to avoid trouble at the end of the season, they need to store more points. A very interesting match will take place in Kazan where the ex- and current clubs of Kurban Berdyev are going to face each other. So the match between Rubin and Rostov will be of principle. The fact that Rostov is not so good in away matches in the current season does not speak in favour of the club.

Lokomotiv is going to have a very uneasy trip to Orenburg. The local team has just picked up steam, and Lokomotiv is quite unstable so far. Anji is hosting Ufa. The club from Makhachkala needs to rehabilitate in front of their supporters for the blowout from Lokomotiv 0:4.

Krasnodar is hosting Ural at home. The team from Krasnodar is going with the group of leaders and they cannot afford to lose points. The matchday will be wrapped-up with the match in Grozny, where Terek is hosting Tom. Originally the game was to take place in Tomsk, but due to the severe frosts the clubs took a decision to change the rounds.
