On Tuesday, 2 May, the Cup of Russia 2016-2017 final match took place at Fischt Stadium in Sochi.  FC Ural played against FC Lokomotiv. Railwaymen won – 0:2.

Both teams had a very long way to the final and played 100%.  The opener was scored by Igor Denisov, his distant shot came to the goal of Nikolay Zabolotny in the 76^th minute. Goal scored by Alexey Miranchuk in the 90^th minute did not leave to Ural any chances to have extra time in this game.

So Lokomotiv became the Cup of Russia holder and reached PFC CSKA in this criteria.

Lokomotiv Head Coach Yury Semin:

Yury Semin won his 5^th Cup of Russia as a coach and set a new record.
