Kokorin against Dynamo

print version

After a short break due to the national teams matches ROSGOSSTRAKH Russian Football Championship returns to us again. The first registration period was over on 31 August, and the clubs had chance to strengthen their squads before that date. Some of them managed to do that, some will end the autumn part of the season without big changes.

MD 9 will kick-off with the match in Perm, where Amkar which started quite unlucky will be hosting PFC CSKA. The club from Perm is occupying an unusual position – at the bottom of the tournament table. It is not so much behind its opponents so far,  but further failures can make the team’s life very complicated after the winter break. PFC CSKA has different task – to return back to the leading group. Taking into consideration the fact that the team of Victor Gancharenko does not have any changes, he has his well-trusted players which have something to prove. And the current sixth position does not reflect the real ambitions of the Army team.

On Saturday the programme of the day will start with the match between Tosno and Anji. The teams have only one point between them in the tournament table, so the game will be very tough.

Arsenal Tula will try to give appropriate fight to Rostov in the away game. The team of Leonid Kuchuk is stable in gaining points at the start of the season and occupies its position in the leading group. But the club from Rostov managed to score only once over three home matches, but it cannot be consolation for the visiting team from Tula. Current Rostov is able to create a fairy show of goals in a home match. The key point is for all attack players to be fielded.

Spartak is hosting Rubin from Kazan. The club from Kazan has not played with a lot of success against clubs from Moscow over the recent years – only 2 wins over latest 15 matches. At the season start Spartak is evidently far from its last season performance. But the coaches and staff were very active during the break, so the fans will see their usual Spartak soon. Besides, the attack is supported with a new Brazilian player.

On Sunday Dynamo will be hosting Zenit, which confidently keeps the top position of ROSGOSSTRAKH Russian Football Championship. One of the main intrigues is about Alexander Kokorin: will the best scorer of the current season be able to score again?

Unyeilding Ufa is hosting Krasnodar. This match is also going to have tough competition. However, the latest two matches ended with goalless draws, but they cannot be called boring anyway.

An interesting match will be played in Grozny, where Akhmat is hosting Lokomotiv. The team of Yury Semin had more successful start and is only one point behind Zenit. Akhmat does not show stable results so far. It is explained by the fact that it has some changes in the squad and the team is lacking some understanding so far.

The wrap-up match of the MD will take place in Ekaterinburg where Ural is hosting SKA-Khabarovsk. The home team does not know wins for over 6 matches in a row, and the visiting team is gaining points for four matches in a row.
