On Thursday, 19 October, Zenit hosted Rosenborg in UEFA Europa League Group Stage MD 3 match. The game ended 3:1.

The opener was scored already in the 1^st minute by Rigoni. The following goal in the 68^th minute was scored by him again. The third goal of Zenit was hat trick by Rigoni. Rosenborg managed to score to Andrey Lunev only at the end of the game.

It was the third win of the club from St.Petersburg in the new season of UEFA Europa League.

Zenit is going to play MD 4 match on Thursday, 2 November, at Lerkendal Stadion.
