Arsenal remain unbeaten after four friendlies in five days

print version

Arsenal Tula finished their first training camp unbeaten after drawing 2-2 with Serbian outfit Mladost on Sunday. Sergey Tkachev and Evans Kangwa put Arsenal into a 2-0 half-time lead, but Mladost hit back with two second-half goals to earn a draw.

After a game which saw six Arsenal players receive bookings, Igor Cherevchenko was content with the performance of his players. “The guys withstood the workload, there are no problems,” he told the club press service. “We played four games in 12 days and got a good workload in.”

“What about our newcomers [Yury] Kovalev and [Valery] Gromyko? There are no questions for them. As for Gromyko, I can say that he spent six months without playing practice, training alone. He will need a month and a half to get up to speed.”

Arsenal are scheduled to face Czech club FK Pribram on 4 February.
