Dejan Radonic led the way in Krylia Sovetov Samara’s rampant 7-0 destruction of Dalian Professional. A double from Anton Zinkovskiy and goals from Paul Anton and Srdjan Mijailovic completed the rout.

Despite the emphatic scoreline, it was only 1-0 at half time. Radonic struck after 20 minutes to edge Krylia in front, and although they remained in charge there was little suggesting the scale of the scoreline.

After the break though the floodgates opened for Krylia Sovetov. Paul Anton and Radonic both scored in two minutes just before the hour mark, before a four-goal, 10-minute burst from 70 minutes onwards.

Former Zenit St. Petersburg and Rubin Kazan striker Salomon Rondon again featured for Rafael Benitez’s team against a Russian Premier Liga side. The Venezuelan also played alongside Marek Hamsik in Dalian’s 1-0 defeat to Orenburg on Friday 14 February.

Krylia Sovetov have another double-header up next on Saturday 22 February against Torpedo Moscow and Stromsgodset of Norway.
