print version

Ural Ekaterinburg 1-3 Arsenal Tula
Wednesday 15 July,
Ekaterinburg Arena

Goals: Ural - Bicfalvi (38’); Arsenal - Khlusevich (13’), Panteleev (74’), Tkachev (90+5’)

Man of the Match: Eric Bicfalvi (Ural)

Vladislav Panteleev was directly involved in both of Arsenal Tula’s first two goals as his second-half free-kick sealed a 3-1 win to lift his side up to sixth. Eric Bicfalvi scored a sensational equaliser for Ural Ekaterinburg before Sergey Tkachev raced through to slot home a third deep in added time.

Daniil Khlusevich volleyed in the opener off the underside of the crossbar after just 13 minutes from Panteleev’s corner. A few minutes later a penalty was awarded at the other end, but referee Nikolay Voloshin reversed his decision after a VAR review.

Two minutes after Mikhail Levashov pulled off a stunning save from Roman Emelyanov’s header, there was nothing he could do to prevent another Bicfalvi masterclass. Denis Kulakov swung in a free kick from the right, and Ural’s talisman unleashed an unstoppable overhead kick into the far corner.

With a little over quarter of an hour to go, Panteleev stood over a free kick in a relatively harmless position out wide on the left. He spotted a gap at the near post though, and whipped in a direct strike to catch out Yaroslav Godzyur.

Just two minutes after coming off the bench, Andrey Panyukov thought he had volleyed Ural’s second equaliser from close range, but another VAR review showed a clear handball from Islamzhan Nasyrov in the buildup.

With seconds remaining, Tkachev was released into the box where he finished with ease to cap a confident win.

Ural Ekaterinburg have a Russian Cup semi-final up next on Sunday 19 July at home to FC Khimki, but return to RPL action for the final matchday on Wednesday 22 July against Lokomotiv Moscow, when Arsenal Tula close out their season away to FC Ufa.

Ural Ekaterinburg: Godzyur, Kulakov (Zolotov 46’), Wilusz, Emelyanov, Kalinin (Panyukov 79’), Boumal (Bavin 63’), Augustinyak, Kucharczyk, Egorychev (Pogrebnyak 63’), Efremov (Nasyrov 60’), Bicfalvi

Arsenal Tula: Levashov, Khagush (Sokol 58’), Belyaev, Dovbnya, Khlusevich, K. Kangwa, Causic, E. Kangwa (Lomovitsky 58’), Panteleev (Tkachev 90’), Lesovoy (Gromyko 72’), Lutsenko (Banda 90’)
