Dmitry Rybchinsky laid both goals on for Lokomotiv Moscow as they beat Rubin Kazan. Aleksey Miranchuk drilled Lokomotiv in front after less than two minutes in, before some brilliant work from Rybchinsky set up Barinov to sweep in a great finish. Silvije Begic was sent off half way through the second period for dragging Fedor Smolov to the ground, leaving Marko Nikolic’s men a simpler task of seeing out the win.

Rubin Kazan host Ural Ekaterinburg next up on Saturday 15 August, while Lokomotiv Moscow welcome FC Krasnodar on the same day.
