Both newly promoted sides remain without a league win this season after Rotor held Khimki to a 1-1 draw. Kamil Mullin gave Rotor the lead after half an hour with only his side's third goal of the campaign so far. Shortly after the break Aleksandr Lomovitsky swept home an equaliser. 

Khimki move on to three points, while Rotor stay one behind on two.

FC Khimki are away to Ural Ekaterinburg next after the international break, while Rotor Volgograd host FC Krasnodar.
