Reziuan Mirzov struck his third goal in four games for Khimki moments after the break to give Khimki the lead. Denis Glushakov took advantage of confusion in the Rubin penalty area with 20 minutes remaining to double their advantage.

Khimki remain 14th despite moving on to 12 points - although they have opened up a gap of five points from the automatic relegation places - while Rubin stay ninth on 21 points.
