Fedor Chalov bagged his first league hattrick in over two years - and his first one ever away from home - to launch Viktor Gancharenko’s side back into the top two. Chalov struck after just two minutes, before tapping home a second shortly after the break. With less than 10 minutes remaining, he expertly steered home a deep bouncing cross past Sergey Pesyakov to seal a perfect night for CSKA. Aleksey Kozlov poked home a close-range consolation for Rostov in added time.

Rostov stay fifth on 32 points, while CSKA go second on 35 points.
