Bernard Berisha's first-half spot kick was enough to ease 10-man Akhmat into the Russian Cup quarter-finals at the expense of Rostov. The visitors spent almost the entire second half at a numerical disadvantage - and survived Matthias Normann's missed penalty attempt late on - but managed to hold on for a shock win. 

The Cup quarter-final draw will take place on 23 February, with dates to be confirmed later.
