print version

Lokomotiv Moscow 4-1 FC Rostov
Saturday 17 April. RZD Arena

Goals: Lokomotiv - Kamano (4), Zhemaletdinov (6), Krychowiak (pen 65), Eder (90); Rostov - Hadzikadunic (33)
Sent off: Rostov - Armin Gigovic (52)
Man of the Match: Grzegorz Krychowiak (Lokomotiv)

Lokomotiv steamrolled into a two-goal lead inside six minutes thanks to Francois Kamano and Rifat Zhemaletdinov, and never really looked back. Sergey Pesyakov miscontrolled a simple pass back to leave Kamano with an empty net for the first, while Zhemaletdinov turned Maksim Osipenko with ease before a fine bottom-corner finish moments later.

Denis Hadzikadunic was left free to hook in a close-range finish just after the half-hour mark, but hopes of a full fight-back were extinguished a few minutes after the break when the visitors went down to 10 men when Armin Gigovic was sent off.

Grzegorz Krychowiak converted a penalty, before setting up Eder to turn in a simple finish from a few yards out and complete the rout.

Lokomotiv stay jump up into the Champions League places in second on 49 points, while Rostov remain ninth on 37 points.

Next RPL fixtures: Saturday 24 April - FC Tambov vs Lokomotiv Moscow; Sunday 25 April - FC Rostov vs Arsenal Tula
