Despite there being almost 30 shots between the two sides, only one found its way to the back of the net. For 90 minutes Dynamo and Khimki couldn’t find a way through as Konstantin Tyukavin had a string of glorious opportunities to break the deadlock, while Arsen Zakharyan hit the post in the first half.

As the clock ticked down though, Maksim Glushenkov swivelled just inside the penalty area to guide home a measured winner.

Dynamo stay sixth on 46 points, while Khimki remain eighth on 41 points.
