Evgeny Kharin sparked Akhmat into an early two-goal lead against relegated Tambov, which could have been greater had Gabriel Iancu not also smacked the crossbar with a thundering first time shot. 

Kharin calmly slotted home a wonderful through-ball from Artem Timofeev, who had driven through most of Tambov's half, before turning provider himself; a few minutes later his low cross found its way through to Artem Polyarus, who made no mistake. 

Artem Arkhipov pulled one back for the visitors, but the piece de resistance came with 10 minutes remaining, courtesy of Vladimir Ilyin. The former Ural striker thought nothing of the crowded box, dancing his way through a maze of defenders before lightning quick feet helped him lift the ball over Radion Syamuk. 

Akhmat move above Krasnodar into 10th on 39 points, while already-relegated Tambov had last place guaranteed, and still lie eight points adrift of Ufa above them.
