print version

FC Ufa 2-1 Arsenal Tula
Sunday 16 May, Neftyanik Stadium

Goals: Ufa - Ivanov (7), Belyaev (og 43); Arsenal - E. Kangwa (31)
Sent off: Arsenal - Grigalava (54)
Man of the Match: Oleg Ivanov (Ufa)

Arsenal began the game - which had been delayed two hours due the high temperatures in Ufa - knowing their survival had already been secured thanks to Rubin Kazan's late equaliser against Rotor.

Ufa, however, knew deferfeat would see them slip into the relegation places. They needn't have worried - within seven minutes they were ahead through Oleg Ivanov. Evans Kangwa's towering header drew Arsenal level just after the half-hour mark, but right before half time Maksim Belyaev's own goal gave Ufa a little breathing space.

Their task was made even easier when Arsenal went down to 10 men soon after the break when Gia Grigalava was sent off.

Ufa stay up after ending 14th on 25 points, while Arsenal also survive in 14th on 23 points.
