Final Russia squad announced for Euro 2020

The Russian national team coaching staff have announced the final squad for the 2020 European Championships.

Goalkeepers: Yury Dupin (Rubin), Matvey Safonov (Krasnodar), Anton Shunin (Dynamo)

Defenders: Georgy Dzhikia (Spartak), Igor Diveev, Mario Fernandes (both CSKA), Yury Zhirkov, Vyacheslav Karavaev (both Zenit), Fedor Kudryashov (Antalyaspor, Turkey), Andrey Semenov (Akhmat)

Midfielders: Dmitry Barinov, Rifat Zhemaletdinov (both Lokomotiv), Maksim Mukhin (CSKA), Aleksandr Golovin (Monaco), Daniil Fomin (Dynamo), Roman Zobnin (Spartak), Aleksey Ionov (Krasnodar), Daler Kuzyaev, Andrey Mostovoy, Magomed Ozdoev (all Zenit), Denis Makarov (Rubin), Aleksey Miranchuk (Atalanta, Italy), Denis Cheryshev (Valencia, Spain)

Forwards: Artem Dzyuba (Zenit), Anton Zabolotny (CSKA), Aleksandr Sobolev (Spartak)

From the preliminary squad, Andrey Lunev (Zenit), Ilya Samoshnikov (Rubin), Roman Evgenev and Arsen Zakharyan (both Dynamo) didn’t make the final cut.

On 5 June, Stanislav Cherchesov's team will play their last friendly before the Euros against Bulgaria. The game will take place at the VTB Arena in Moscow and will start at 18:00 MSK.

Euro 2020 will be held from 11 June to 11 July in 11 cities. In the group stages, Russia will play in Group B against Belgium (12 June, 22:00, St. Petersburg), Finland (16 June, 16:00, St. Petersburg) and Denmark (21 June, 22:00, Copenhagen).
