Zenit St. Petersburg have another champion after winger Malcom struck a stunning winner in extra time for Brazil as they won an Olympic gold medal. 

Matheus Cunha had given Brazil the lead on the stroke of half time after Richarlison had missed a penalty. Mike Oyarzabal struck a thumping volley to equalise on after the hour mark to take the Final to extra time. 

Malcom came off the bench to replace goalscorer Cunha at the start of extra time, and in the 108th minute kept his cool to help his country retain the Olympic title. 

A minute earlier his future club teammate Claudinho came off; moments later, Zenit confirmed they'd reached an agreement for his signing moments. CSKA Moscow defender Bruno Fuchs also won a gold medal as part of the squad, but never made an appearance.
