After a goal last week, Bulgarian winger Ivelin Popov scored twice and assisted once for Sochi today. The Leopards bounced back from their defeat to Partizan with a sensational victory over Khimki, keeping up their good form in the league. Substitute Nikita Burmistrov was also fantastic, and assisted both of Popov’s goals in the second half.

Sochi now sit third in the league while Khimki languish near the relegation zone.
