Rostov took control of the southern derby within two minutes midway through the opening half. First, Denis Terentyev whipped in a harmless looking cross that Uros Spajic could only flick on agonisingly inside the far post. 

Moments later, Grzegorz Krychowiak was sent off to put the visitors firmly on the back foot. To make matters worse, top scorer Jhon Córdoba was substituted shortly after. 

Remy Cabella had a glorious chance to equalise from the penalty spot a few minutes before the break, but he pulled his shot wide. 

Just after the hour mark, the 10-man visitors pulled one back as Eduard Spertsyan slotted a cool finish between Sergey Pesyakov's legs from Aleksey Ionov's brilliant reverse pass. 

Rostov go up to 12th on six points, while Krasnodar go seventh on 10 points.
