Rock-bottom Ural showed the kind of grit and determination they will need to pull themselves to safety as they pressured Lokomotiv into a hard-fought goalless draw.

The visitors were dominant in attack, with former Ural striker Fedor Smolov having three shots on goal in the first half alone, and Pablo’s diving header squeezing just past the post. 

Despite Lokomotiv’s best efforts Ural held on for their first clean sheet of the season.

Ural stay bottom on three points, while Lokomotiv remain third on 16 points.
