print version

Changes have been made to the Russia squad ahead of the final two 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Rubin defender Ilya Samoshnikov and Dynamo midfielder Arsen Zakharyan will not take part in the international break for medical reasons. Zenit defender Danil Krugovoy has been given a call-up to the training camp, having been included in the extended squad for the upcoming games but not initially making the final list. For the 23-year-old, this is his first senior call-up.

On 11 November, Valery Karpin's team will play Cyprus at St. Petersburg’s Gazprom Arena, and on 14 November they face Croatia in Split. After eight matches, Russia lead Group H on 19 points.
